Shelley's Family Jewels Now Sold in Palettes of Perfection Studio

I would like everyone to know that Shelley's Family Jewels now has its vintage jewelry for sale in the studio at Palettes of Perfection. We are so excited about this, and there has already been an amazing response. Shelley's passion is collecting (and restoring if needed) authentic bracelets, earrings, broaches, necklaces, rings, clutches, and more. Her expertise in the different eras, trends, stones, etc. is impressive. As Shelley would say, "Who was she?" While wearing a star ruby necklace or a crystal and pearl broach, you just have to wonder, "Did she wear them to a cocktail party in 1924?" or "Was it on a ship to London in 1925?"

Shelley also specializes in consulting brides on jewelry for their wedding day. The completely one-of-a-kind pieces make perfect bridesmaids' or mothers' gifts.

Ship to Shore, Asheville's unique, custom clothing

Today I would like to feature one of Palettes of Perfection's most unique, talented and "fashionable" members. In talking with a number of artists and other professionals in the area, it seems that Asheville, NC is proud that Brooke Priddy has chosen this city as her company's home. Brooke is the creator of Ship to Shore and truly takes clothing design to a whole new level. With a background in fine arts and performance, it almost seems like she brings her collections to life with extremely unique designs, fabrics, and detailing.

I was fortunate enough to have the honor of wearing two of Brooke's dresses for a recent photo shoot (one with a 15 foot train!), and from a first-hand experience, her work is solid. Her lines are well-made and practical in the sense that some of her 'day dresses' still maintain that custom quality while still quite wearable. Her wedding dresses are like none you've ever seen or will ever see, which brings a new element to being completely and utterly special on your wedding day!

Ship to Shore is located in West Asheville, and everything is made in-house; it's fun to see creations in the works and browze her racks. Consults and studio visits are by appointment only.
